Words-and-Pictures: Soukanji

Note: This selection of Words-and-Pictures was made on September 15, 2001, as I walked on the Old Tokaido.

This forlorn little temple is located next to the ruins of Yamanaka Castle between Hakone and Mishima in Shizuoka Prefecture, which are Stations #10 and 11 respectively (from Tokyo) on the Old Tokaido Highway. You can read about my brief stop there in my Logbook.

The main--and only--hall. But the porch did give me shelter from the storm.

The grounds. No, seriously--that's it.
